Located at 13 Worple Road in Epsom, Kiam Clinic is a private mental health facility recognized by the Care Quality Commission. The clinic specializes in assessments for ADHD and autism, catering to both children and adults.

Child and Adolescent Services

At Kiam Clinic, assessments for ADHD and autism in children and young adults are conducted by Dr. Hadi Shaker Naeeni. With over 20 years of expertise in child and adolescent mental health, he understands the intricate needs of younger patients. The autism assessment consists of two parts, with the latter held in person at the Epsom location.

Adult Assessments and Treatment Options

For adults seeking ADHD evaluation, the clinic offers services through Dr. Abbass Mohammadinasab, who founded the clinic, and Dr. Mohammad Saidi, a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist. Dr. Saidi also specializes in tic disorders and Tourette syndrome. For children exhibiting tics, parents are advised to consult their GP first.

Dr. Abbass does not only focus on ADHD but also treats conditions such as depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. He collaborates with each patient to establish a tailored course of action.

Start Your Journey with a Screening

Individuals uncertain about their ADHD status can begin their journey with a free, anonymous five-minute screening test available on the clinic's website. Although this test does not provide a diagnosis, it serves to guide individuals toward seeking a professional assessment. Diagnoses are made through a thorough evaluation, lasting between 75 to 90 minutes for adults and 90 to 120 minutes for children, in accordance with national NICE guidelines (NG87). Each assessment concludes with a detailed report and a letter to your GP.

Collaborative Treatment Plans

Once ADHD is diagnosed, treatment options are discussed collaboratively. For children, this may involve parental support, home and school strategies, and when necessary, medication. Adults have the flexibility to choose between psychological therapy, medical intervention, or a combination of both. Initially, medical treatments are evaluated every three to four weeks as they are established, followed by less frequent check-ups. If appropriate, routine prescriptions can later be managed by the GP in cooperation with the clinic.

Psychotherapy and Coaching

Dr. Nazee Akbari MBE, the clinic's accredited psychotherapist, provides psychotherapy drawing from her extensive experience of over 26 years. Dr. Akbari offers services in both English and Farsi/Dari. Her approach includes cognitive-behavioral therapy, alongside ADHD coaching aimed at helping patients effectively plan and execute tasks.
